A Group of US Kennedy Half Dollars and a Presidential $1 Coin - This collection of United States coinage primarily consists of Kennedy half dollars alongside a single Millard Fillmore presidential $1 coin. The half dollars encompass various years and mint marks including 1964 (KM# 202), 1967 and 1970-D (KM# 202a), and issues from 1974, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1992-S, 1993-P, 1999-S, 2003-D, 2011-D, and 2014-P (KM# 202b). These specimens feature significant aftermarket modifications, including full and selective gold-tone plating on the obverse portraits and reverse designs. Several coins have also been treated with a thick, clear protective resin or polymer coating on one or both sides. The 1964 issue is composed of 90 percent silver, while the 1967 and 1970-D issues are composed of 40 percent silver. The Millard Fillmore presidential $1 coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule. Diameter: 30.6 mm. The coins exhibit varying degrees of wear consistent with handling and aftermarket processing. The gold-tone plating shows variations in color and luster across the lot. There are prominent deep scratches and scuffing visible on several of the reverse designs, particularly on those specimens with a thick resin coating. No third-party grading certifications (PCGS/NGC) are present.
