Citizen Quartz Day-Date Reference 6100-S09851 Gold-Plated Wristwatch - This vintage Citizen Quartz wristwatch features a gold-plated base metal case with a stainless steel case back. The silver-tone dial has a vertical brushed finish and is detailed with applied baton hour markers, a day and date aperture at the 3 o'clock position, and the CQ logo at the 6 o'clock position. The watch is powered by a Citizen caliber 6100A quartz movement, which is marked NO JEWELS, UNADJUSTED, and JAPAN. It is fitted with an aftermarket Speidel stainless steel expansion bracelet. Markings on the dial include CITIZEN, QUARTZ, and MOV'T JAPAN DIAL TAIWAN P-6100-S34861 Z SMS. The case back is stamped CITIZEN WATCH CO., WATER RESIST, BASE METAL GP, 6100-S09851 SMT, and serial number 90166334. No box or papers are present with this lot. Case size: 35mm. The watch is in poor to fair vintage condition with heavy signs of use. There is significant wear to the gold plating on the case, revealing the base metal beneath, along with visible pitting and corrosion on the case sides and edges. The crystal is heavily scratched and scuffed. The movement is missing its battery and currently does not run; an improvised spacer consisting of cardboard and tape is present inside the case. The watch is sold as-is for parts or restoration purposes.
