Vintage Cortebert Polished Wood Watch Presentation Box - This vintage watch presentation box is produced by the Swiss watch manufacturer Cortebert. The rectangular case is crafted from wood with a dark brown, high-gloss polished finish and rounded corners. It is equipped with a continuous metal piano hinge at the rear. The interior is finished with deep burgundy colored textiles, consisting of a silk-lined inner lid and a velvet-covered base. The inner lid features a gold-stamped maker mark including the brand name Cortebert in cursive script above the words SINCE 1790 and a faded manufacturer emblem. The underside of the case is covered in a black textured material. The box is in fair vintage condition. The exterior wood finish exhibits surface scratches, scuffs, and several small chips to the lacquer coating, particularly along the front and top edges. The black textured covering on the bottom shows heavy wear, fraying, and loss around the perimeter. The interior linings remain largely intact, though the velvet base displays some lint and a light impression from previous contents. The original watch cushion or internal insert is missing. The hinge remains fully functional and the lid sits flush when closed.
