Antiquarian Wax Seal Impression of Everardus Foeck Dean of St Salvator Utrecht 1414 - This lot features a circular green wax seal impression mounted on a square tan cardstock base. The seal design is identified by handwritten annotations as belonging to Everardus Foeck, who served as the Dean of St. Salvator's Church, also known as the Oudmunster, in Utrecht. The central imagery depicts a figure, likely a saint or high-ranking ecclesiastic, seated beneath an elaborate Gothic architectural canopy featuring side pinnacles. A small heraldic shield is positioned at the base of the figure. The seal is encircled by a legend in raised Gothic script which reads S. EVHARDI. DECANI ECCLESIE DEI SALVATORIS. The cardstock mount contains extensive handwritten annotations in black ink. The top left is marked 1414, referring to the historical period of the original seal's use. The top right identifies the individual and location. Below the seal, a Dutch note Paal verger: v. 4 blokjes (2-2) provides a heraldic description of the shield.
