Mounted Facsimile Seal Impression of William II of Holland as King of the Romans - This item is a historical reproduction cast of the 13th-century seal used by William II, Count of Holland, following his election as King of the Romans in 1247. The impression is rendered in a deep terracotta-red composition material designed to simulate traditional red sealing wax. The central relief depicts the monarch enthroned, wearing a crown and holding a scepter in his right hand and a globus cruciger in his left. The throne features architectural detailing common to the High Middle Ages. The seal is mounted to a square, tan-colored fiberboard card. The mounting card includes handwritten Dutch annotations in ink, identifying the subject as Willem Roomsch Koning.
