NL c. 1650 Heraldic Seal Impression, Wax - Circular heraldic seal impression cast in dark-toned wax, mounted on a vintage square collector's card. The obverse features a quartered heraldic shield achievement. A circular legend is present around the perimeter, with the characters LAURENSIANSCHAS visible, identifying the bearer as Laurens Jan Schas. The mounting card features extensive Dutch handwritten notations, including a date of circa 1650 and a 1917 reference to the wax seal. The notations include the text gaande leeuw. The reverse of the seal is adhered to the card and is not visible. Diameter: 38 mm Card Dimensions: 76 mm x 76 mm.
