Iridescent End of Day Glass Parade Cane with Internal Spiral - This item is an end of day glass parade cane, also known as a glassblower's whimsy or frigger. The cane is hand-blown from translucent glass with a golden-yellow iridescent surface treatment. The shaft features an internal spiral decoration consisting of alternating deep red and opaque white glass threads. The object tapers from a smooth, pointed tip to a large, bulbous handle. A rough, circular snapped pontil mark is present on the end of the handle, consistent with traditional glassmaking techniques.
