Victorian Rogers Silver Quadruple Plate Sugar Bowl and Spooner with Twelve Oneida Community Spoons - A Victorian-era silver-plated sugar bowl and spoon holder set, also known as a spooner. The central vessel features a pedestal base and two ornate cast handles with scrolled and beaded detailing. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with a wide engraved band depicting a repeating geometric and floral pattern. The set includes a fitted stepped lid topped with a cast finial in the form of a bird, likely a swallow or swift, with outstretched wings. The rim of the bowl is specifically notched to accommodate twelve spoons in an upright position. The underside of the pedestal base is stamped with the marks ROGERS SILVER and QUADRUPLE. An incised production number 0950 is located on the inner rim of the vessel. The twelve matching spoons are marked on the reverse of the handles with ONEIDA COMMUNITY and PAR PLATE.
