Sterling Silver and Marcasite Cat on Crescent Moon Figural Brooch - A sterling silver figural brooch designed as a stylized cat wearing a bow tie, seated upon a crescent moon. The moon is rendered with a subtle human profile. The entire forward-facing surface of both the cat and the moon is pavé-set with numerous faceted marcasites. Two small, round, faceted red gemstones are set as eyes, one for the cat and one for the moon profile. The reverse of the brooch features a stamped 925 mark indicating sterling silver purity, alongside a maker mark consisting of the letters MD. The piece is secured with a straight pin and a rollover safety clasp. 1.5 inches (H) by 1.25 inches (W).
