Lakota Sioux Beaded Forged Tomahawk J. Young Buck - This Lakota Sioux beaded forged tomahawk is attributed to maker J. Young Buck. The item features a hand-forged iron head with a prominent bear paw cutout and a heavily oxidized patina. The wooden haft is meticulously wrapped in tanned leather and decorated with three sections of banded seed beadwork in a red, white, and black color scheme. Multiple tiers of long leather fringe are integrated at intervals along the handle. Attached to the base is a red textile decorative element, possibly wool or felt, displaying a bear paw motif rendered in small metal studs on one side, finished with long leather fringe and several suspended feathers.
