Weinman’s design of Lady Liberty striding toward a rising sun, inscribed with LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the respective year of mintage. The reverse depicts an eagle perched upon a mountain crag with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and HALF DOLLAR. This group includes examples with dates ranging from 1918 to 1943. Visible mint marks include S for San Francisco and D for Denver.
