A Trio of WWII US Merchant Marine Officer Sterling Silver Collar Insignia by A.E. Co. - A trio of World War II era United States Merchant Marine officer collar insignia manufactured by A.E. Co. of Utica, New York. Each circular pin is constructed of sterling silver with a bi-color gold and silver-tone finish. The design features a central fouled anchor overlaid on a vertically striped shield, set against a compass rose background. The outer border is embossed with the text UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE. The reverse of each pin is equipped with a pin-back fastener and safety catch. Each is stamped STERLING and A.E. CO. UTICA N.Y. on the reverse. Diameter: approximately 1 inch
