Isle of Man 1979 The Five Crowns of Man Millennium of Tynwald Sterling Silver BU Coin Set - This is a complete set of five commemorative coins, known as The Five Crowns of Man, issued by the Isle of Man Government in 1979 to mark the 1,000th Anniversary of Tynwald. The set is certified as an Official Legal Tender Issue, struck by the Pobjoy Mint, and is specified as the Sterling Silver BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) edition, limited to a worldwide issue of 25,000 sets. Each coin has a denomination of ONE CROWN. The obverse of the coins features various historical ships and symbols relating to the Tynwald millennium, while the reverse displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II and the date 1979. The coins have a diameter of 38.61 mm. Four of the five coins exhibit a bright gold tone, while the fifth coin retains a silver tone, consistent with the certified Sterling Silver composition. The set is presented in its original hinged, red velvet-lined presentation box and includes the Certificate of Authenticity and informational booklet.
