Antique Dietz Mill Lantern with Clear Glass Globe - An antique Dietz Mill Lantern, constructed from black-painted metal and featuring a clear glass globe. The glass globe is prominently marked ”DIETZ” and ”RAILROAD” with ”MADE IN U.S.A.” and ”NEW YORK” also visible, along with an upside-down ”19H” on the reverse. The metal base bears partially visible text including ”MILL LANTERN” and ”NEW YORK, U.S.A.”. Research indicates a patent date of December 4, 1923, for similar Dietz No. 2 Mill Lanterns. The lantern is presented in used, unrestored condition.
