Cross, 1826, Leather-Bound - An early 19th-century American book, ”The True Masonic Chart, or Hieroglyphic Monitor,” Fourth Edition, by R. W. Jeremy L. Cross, G. L., published in New-Haven, Conn., and printed in 1826. The volume features a frontispiece portrait of the author, numerous engraved illustrations depicting Masonic symbols and architectural elements, and printed musical scores with English lyrics for ”Masonic Songs,” including ”Most Excellent Master's Ode.” Notable handwritten inscriptions include ”John Cattle 1833,” ”Angie Beckham Chapin June, 1886,” and a presentation inscription dated ”Jan 7 - 1913” to ”Gruan W. Davis from his friend Irving E. Fisher.” A decorative bookplate reading ”ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL” is also present.
