Pennsylvania Attributed Relief-Molded Redware Tobacco Jar / Canister - Pennsylvania Attributed Relief-Molded Redware Tobacco Jar / Canister Red earthenware with streaked and speckled manganese and lead glaze; tall square form with beveled corners and inset oval panels containing relief decoration of intricately-arranged scrolls and tulips within a beaded medallion/border and C-scroll surrounds. Recessed base with three rough stilt marks, no stamp. Possibly Gast or Swope families, Lancaster; or Juniata Pottery by G.M. Miller, Newport, PA. Mid 19th century. Dimensions: 6 1/2” H, 3 3/4” SQ base. Condition: Excellent condition with moderate overall wear including shallow flaking/glaze exfoliation primarily along panel edges and corners.
