Together with an oil on board a Dutch river scene, and an oil on canvas of figures around a fire. Losses to paint. Largest Sight: 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (31.8 x 31.8 cm.), Frame: 19 3/4 x 19 3/4 in. (50.2 x 50.2 cm.) Condition: House by River: On old panel. Some surface wear and abrasion. Varnish has yellowed and could benefit from a light cleaning. U.V. inspection revealed light scattered retouch. Minor paint loss along center left edge and top center edge. Figures Stoking Fire: Scattered paint loss. Several areas in lower right corner and in center of tree grove. And just above signature. Craquelure throughout. Some yellowing of varnish. Could benefit from some light restoration. U.V. inspection revealed minimal scattered retouch. Minor losses to beading on frame slip. Sleeping figures: Light frame rub. U.V. inspection revealed little to no inpainting. Minor surface wear.
