Condition: Silver horse: Chips and losses to ebonization on frame. On artist board. U.V. inspection revealed little to no inpainting. Ready to hang. Bay horse: Small hole drilled through frame for hanging device. On artist’s board. Some flaking on left edge. Light rippling to board. U.V. inspection revealed a heavy coat of varnish and scattered inpainting. Small retouch on lower right corner edge. Light craquelure throughout. Otherwise, good condition.
