Federal Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock - Simon Willard Federal Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock Massachusetts, 1800-1820. Dial signed, Simon Willard, Roxbury, also sign on backplate. Restorations and replacements. This clock bears many similarities to a clock in the White House which was presented by the White House Historical Association in 1972. Provenance: Roland NY, 7/29/23, lot 422 92 x 20 x 10 in. (233.7 x 50.8 x 25.4 cm.) Condition: Works associated. Feet replaced. Shell inlays later. Waist door warped and cut with splines too. Fret work replaced. Cheeks extended. Saddleboard new. Dial refreshed. The clock presents nicely but is just a fragment that has been restored. Thank you for your interest in our upcoming sale.
