Rare and Important American Theater Photographic Archive - Over 600 original Carte de visite, some large format photographs, and other early photographs, contained in single archive, which was once bound as a New York theater agents book. There are hundreds of named actors and actresses, many of whom the only known photographs of them are contained herein. Contained in three contemporary slip cased binders, this is the largest photographic record of the theater in New York, that has come to auction. Each binder contains 24 or 25 individual leaves. Condition: Condition reports are not provided in catalog descriptions. The absence of a condition report does not guarantee that the lot is in good condition or free from damage and wear.
