Min Xiwen (1918-2013), Color Sketch on Paper - Min Xiwen (1918-2013), Color Sketch on Paper Signed (right) Dimensions: 14 7/8 x 10 5/8 inches (38cm x 27cm) Min Xiwen, born in September 1918 in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, China. In the autumn of 1934, he entered the Printmaking Department of Suzhou Art Technical School. In the autumn of 1935, he studied at the National Hangzhou Art Technical School, under the guidance of Fang Qianmin, Wu Dayu, Cai Weilian, and others. He held solo exhibitions at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1982, 1987, and 1990. His works have been exhibited in countries such as New York, Taipei, Japan, the United States, the Soviet Union, Singapore, and Kuwait. He retired in 1984.
