Bowers started manufacturing lighters in 1928 so this could precede the war in age. The Markings it has read USA BOWERS MFG CO KALAMAZOO MICHIGAN. And it has a shield with a flame above it etched in each side. Mechanically this lighter is still sound. It extracts like it should but does not light. May need fluid. It measures 3 1/4”. Condition: Original Authentic
