T. Singer Navajo Sterling & Cripple Creek Ketoh
For your consideration is this Ketoh bracer from Navajo artist Tommy Singer constructed from sterling silver and cripple creek turquoise. The bracer shows a black leather bracer frame with four silver studs on either side of the large engraved silver plate. The plate shows two cripple creek polished turquoise cabochon centered in an engraved symmetrical geometric pattern adorning its face. A bracer (or arm-guard) is a strap or sheath, commonly made of leather, stone, or plastic that covers the inside of an archer's arm to protect it while shooting. Bracers protect the inside of the archer's forearm against injury by the string of the bow or the fletching of the arrow. The condition of this bracer is good with a slight patina to the face of the bracer. The measurements of this bracer is 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". The collective weight of of this bracer is 126.3g.
