Navajo Mariano Abalone Inlaid Dragonfly Necklace
For your consideration is a signed Jan Mariano Navajo Native American abalone, and multi stone inlaid dragonfly sterling silver necklace. This gorgeous Navajo Native American piece is made by expert silversmith Jan Mariano. The necklace features a five strand construction with each strand strung thoroughly with abalone polished gemstones. The strands are broken up with purple, red and orange spiny oyster gemstones. The necklace is capped with sterling silver aglet tips and a hook clasp. The pendant on this necklace is a large inlaid dragonfly with silver braided rope accents. The wings of the dragonfly are stunning abalone while the body and thorax are composed of orange spiny oyster, turquoise, sugalite, and oxblood coral. The back of the pendant is signed by the artist "J. Mariano” and stamped sterling. The necklace measures 23” long when unclasped and the pendant measures 2 ¾” x 3 5/8”.
