Navajo Morenci Turquoise Squash Sand Cast Necklace
This is an original sand cast sterling silver and Morenci turquoise squash blossom necklace. The piece is from the early 1900's with a twisted silver chain construction. Each blossom shows three-petals which flows into a setting holding a polished gem quality turquoise cabochon from the Morenci Turquoise Mine. The necklace has a double strand of beautiful sterling silver concho button beads and six beautiful sand cast blossoms on either side of the Naja. The squash blossom necklace has an iconic and impressive design which displays well. The piece shows a gorgeous dark gray patina indicative of its age. The necklace measures 26 ½” long when unclasped and the Naja measures 2 ¼” x 2 ½”.
