Rare Original 16th Century German/English Axe of Justice / Executioners Axe - Rare Original 16th Century German/English Axe of Justice Executioners Axe . This rare historical Axe has been used in the removal of limbs during and sentence of prisoner being drawn and quartered. The Axe head is stamped by the blacksmith/armorer ”DR”. The head of the Axe measures approximately 12.0 inches long with a blade edge measuring 5.50 inches and a 10.50 inch neck. The overall length is 30.0 inches from haft to head. Beautiful Ornate Design typical of England or Germany. Provenance: Antique Axe Collection from a former Museum in Edinburgh Scotland.
