Geldorp Gortzius (1553-1618/9) was a Flemish Renaissance artist who was active in Germany where he distinguished himself through his portrait paintings of individuals and group portraits. There are 70 known portraits in existent today with at least three portraits of Mary Magdalene (Christies sold one in 1997 for GBP 17,250).
