Scarce Colonial Era c.1750's-1770's Sailor ”Pirate” made Set of Six Carved Horn Gin/Rum Cups - Incredibly Rare c1750's-70's Old ”Pirate” Sailor's Hand Carved Horn Gin or Rum Set comprising of one Boatswain Horn Cup with its Carved Bone Handle carefully ornamented and five other Carved Horn Cups decorated with circle ornaments. The Noticeable strong conical form demonstrates developed skills of the old master of that time. The Caps or Cups are ”drink-to-the-last-drop” style - have to stand upside down. Provenance: Private collection from Worcester MA. Dimensions: Base cup-9.5” with handle, other cups 5” H with slightly differing widths for stacking, overall 15” H
