Kettle Stand - Kettle stands are extremely rare in the Federal period. Not only is it rare but it has original painted surfaces and gilt neoclassical decorations. Note the raised lip around the top to keep the kettle from falling off. This is a great stand to place sculpture, statuary and folk art. Dimensions: 31” Height 16” Square Condition: Significant wear on top (hot kettles!) but overall structure sound with attractive painted decorations.
