Its generous scale allows the motifs to breathe, producing the bold yet relaxed character for which early Sultanabad carpets are especially admired. Measuring approximately 17 feet 5 inches by 13 feet 9 inches, it has the proportions needed for a substantial living room, dining room, gallery, or reception space. Its large size, powerful Persian drawing, and beautifully aged coloration give it considerable decorative and collecting importance.
