Antique Turkish Mudjur Rug 7 ft 5 in x 3 ft 10 in (2.26 m x 1.16 m) - Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Size: 7 ft 5 in x 3 ft 10 in (2.26 m x 1.16 m) Provenance: From an important private collection of Andrea & Mark Carol from North Carolina Vertical bands of red, blue, ivory, green, brown, and muted purple run through the field of this antique Turkish rug, each stripe carrying small repeating motifs. A floral border surrounds the striped center, adding contrast between structure and ornament. The result is unusual and lively: part stripe rug, part village floral weaving. The Mudjur attribution should be checked against structural or catalog information, but visually the piece has a clear Anatolian character.
