The extraordinary main border, adorned with boldly drawn turtle motifs featuring hairline edges and serrated outlines flanked by Herati leaves, is further enhanced by elegant floral guard bands and crenellated fence outer borders ? creating a boldly restrained statement that perfectly counterbalances the commanding monochromatic field. Condition: Lot # 309 is in fair to good condition. The pile is low and mostly even with scattered areas of re-piled and restored pile. The two ends are partially missing and hand secured. The sides are secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
