Wood, gesso, tempera on silver leaf, face strips of wood on the back of an icon. Ornate cursive writing (folk icon). Dimensions: 31.5х26.5 сm. Russia, late XIX century.
The upper half of the icon features iconographic images of the Blessed Virgin Mary: the Unburnt Bush, the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The lower half of the icon: Unexpected joy and of the Three Hands. On the back is a record of the order with a listing of the subjects on the parts of the icon. On the endpapers information - about the price (50 k) and the village (Naumovo).
Condition, the gesso is strong, there are scratches on the bottom half of the icon, the loss of small fragments of the gesso, traces of nails on the ends and the back.
