Sefer Yesod: Perush Etz Shatul on the Sefer Ikarim, with the approbation of the Maharsha and the Shla and other gedolim. First edition, Venice 1618.
Sefer Ikarim, a foundational work on Jewish thought and principles of Emunat Yisrael, through in-depth research, by Rabbi Yosef Albo, one of the Rishonim, who was nicknamed after this work. “For the first time with the commentary Etz Shatul, divided into two sections ‘Shorashim’ and ‘Anafim’ by Rabbi Gedalya ben Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Lifshitz of Lublin.”

Published by Pietro and Lorenzo Bragadin, first edition Venice 1618. 146 leaves in the original—this copy is missing the last 2 leaves (not from the body of the work). Catalogued by the NLI as a rare book. Stefanski Sifrei Yesod 497. Important approbations from Lublin rabbis, Poznan, and Prague, including the Maharsha, Maharam of Lublin, the Kli Yakar, and the Shla.

Worming damage, few worming holes, stains, new binding, lone bits of tape (title page and elsewhere), tear at the edge of the title page, overall fair to good condition.

The title page has a sticker: “a gift of the dear and respected Mar Yaakov Lomfronti to the Ohavei Torah yeshiva for Tevet 1837.”
