Commentary appears around the text, and at the end of the main work is the pamphlet “Al Techat’u B’Yeled”, on educating children. By Rabbi Yaakov ben Naftali Greenwald. With important endorsements. Colorful title page, [4], 68 pages. Cover is repaired with damage to the upper and lower edges, new binding with golden imprints. Light stains, generally good condition.


Second page has the signature: “Bs”d Yosef David Eisen.” Cover has important signature of ownership: “the young Naftali Yaakov ben A”hamash HaKohen” as well as his stamp: “Rav Naftali Yaakov HaKohen, 48 HaGiborim Street, Haifa.” Refers to Rabbi Naftali Yaakov HaKohen ben Moshe (1885-1972), a student of the Arugat HaBosem of Nanesh, Hungary, who was appointed to the rabbinate at age 18 and received the rare smicha from Rabbi Meshulam Rata. In 1948 he moved to Israel and settled in Haifa, where he served a period as a Ram at the yeshiva of the Mekor Baruch of Seret Vizhnitz. He authored Savar Naftali and Otzer HaGedolim Alufei Yaakov, 9 sections.
