First and second books of Chronicles with translation of Rav Yosef “Rosh Yeshiva in Syria, the rabbi mentioned in the Talmud as the translator Rav Yosef.” According to the title page this translation was first published in Amsterdam (by the National Library, 1715) with a Latin commentary, and 100 years later it was here published in this edition by Rabbi Aharon ben Menachem of Komnitz with short notes—Vilna 1816. The National Library places it in its Rare Books section. [2], 64 pages. Printed partially on light-blue paper, the title page features red ink. Endorsements from Rabbi Aryeh Leib, Av Beit Din of Brisk; Rabbi Yaakov Orenstein, Av Beit Din of Lviv; Rabbi Mordechai HaLevi, Av Beit Din of Tiktin; and more. Light stains, one bit of tape, old binding, leather spine with defects; nice, well-preserved copy in good condition.
The Ex Libris notes that this copy was at the library of Emmanuel Lapp of the Neologue community in Sighet (Hungary). Stamps on the blank first page were not checked thoroughly.
