Book on Shechitut and Bdikot by the Mahari Weil, with commentary of the Maharatz—Polna, 1814, bearing stamps of the Belz Shtibel in Munkatch
Book on ritual slaughter and checking of animals by the Gaon Yaakov Weill, “with glosses and chiddushim collected by the Gaon Zvi ben Rav Yitzhak…known as the Maharatz” (one of the Rama’s greatest students, an expert shochet u’bodek in Krakow—died in 1593). Printed in Polna (according to the endorsements, in 1814). Originally: 31 pages; the pages in this copy after p. 6 also include the book Zivchei Shlamim, halachot of ritual slaughter, authored by Mohar’ Yaakov Bek. Moth holes, tear with tape on the title page. Tape in a number of other places. Generally ok to good condition.
New binding. Stamps of ownership of “Book Acquisition Company of the New Chassidic Beit Midrash of Belz Munkatch.” Also “H. Ben HaRosh Hominer.”
