Lassen Bavarian Beer Flat Top GRACE BROS SANTA ROSA 91-2 - Grace Bros. Brewing Co., Santa Rosa, California. American Can Co., 12 ounces, circa late 1950s–early 1960s. USBC 91-2. Graphic California label combining snow-covered mountains, brilliant metallic blue and a reflective silver sky. Despite the Bavarian name, the beer was brewed in Santa Rosa, as the mandatory beside the seam makes clear. Grace Brothers had a long history of producing multiple brands and private labels, giving collectors a remarkably varied range of cans from one brewery. Note this American Can variation with the contents beside the seam and “Product of U.S.A.” beneath each display face. Condition: An attractive example with strong blue color, substantial metallic shine and two pleasing display faces. Photos show scattered scratches and small spots, along with some fine irregular lines in the white finish near the bottom. The lids retain considerable shine. A handsome mountain-themed can from this prolific California brewer.
