Gothic Revival Gilt Bronze 19th C. Relic Box - C. 1850-1890. Incredibly detailed, intricate. Hinged ”roof top: with openwork ”roof rail” at center of ”peaked roof”. Bas relief decorations at outside of the box. Supported by figural snail feet. Bail hndles t either side. Wooden lining. Included with the lot is a 1972 German language extensive article regarding a Metropolitan Museum, New York and other museum exhibiton of rarities of this type.
