16th Century Madonna/Child Marble Relief - A scarce north Italian, from Tuscany, Christian, white marble relief, Madonna and Child with angelic figure. Untouched, no restoration or needed, a modest sized old master carving, likely, it was originally from a rural church or private chapel. Nice original condition, so much better than these images. Dates about 1525-40. 14” high, 10” wide and 1 1/2” thick. ****** This item from a local elder, up until now, a very active, eclectic and constant collector for the past 62 years.
