DECORATED BLANKET CHEST - Probably Ohio or Pennsylvania Mennonite, mid-19th century, poplar. Dovetailed case on bracket feet, and retains its original paint decoration (chrome yellow striping and flowers against a grain-painted ground), and with its original, unusual, chrome yellow interior paint. 24.5” high, 42.5” wide, 21.5” deep. Provenance: a northeast Ohio collection. NOTE: We are happy to answer questions and take additional photos of lots prior to the auction (the sooner submitted the better).
