DANDELION JACQUARD COVERLET, DATED 1868 - Ameican, 1868. A jacquard coverlet in indigo and white. Centerfield contains radial dandelions offset with starbursts surrounded by radial leaves or feathers, with leaf and star fillers. Border contains a tulip and leaf vine (doubled on bottom) without corner blocks. Double dated ”1868” along edge in bottom corners. Fringed on three sides, in a single piece (no center seam). 86” long, 72” wide. Provenance: The Collection of the late Dr. Virginia Gunn, Wooster, Ohio.
