PIECED CROSS QUILT - American, 19th century, cotton. A pieced and handstitched quilt in red, orange, yellow, and browns with alternating blocks, one style with a cross at its center, the other with solid blocks in a striped pattern fabric, with a narrow printed yellow rectangular border surrounded by a wider rust-colored print border, the reverse with a printed brand mark ”MONADNOCK SHEETINGS” and ”59” or ”65” written in a corner. 85” by 68”.
