AARON WILLARD SHELF CLOCK - Boston, MA, c. 1800, mahogany. Broken-arch crest, round dials, and two repainted tablets, the lower with a naval battle. 36” high. Condition: Possibly replaced feet, some veneer damage, age cracks in the panel behind the lower tablet makes the tablet frame fit loosely, the tablets appear to have some age, but have been more recently secured with wire nails (please examine the photos); we do not guarantee the working condition of clocks. Retains weights and pendulum. We just added more pics of the movement--note that the bell is detached (not simply unscrewed, but the arm that holds it is broken at the tip).
