(LR108)While OMU was only open from 1892-1907, it was quite successful, becoming the largest medical school in Columbus, Ohio. In 1907, it merged with the Starling Medical College, and then in 1914, the joint school became the Ohio State University medical school. Interestingly, OMU had a successful sports program. The football team regulary posted winning records, and even beat OSU twice in nine outings.
