FOLK ART CHEST - Ceredo, West Virginia, c. 1937, mixed woods. A mirror over 7 drawers, the whole case decorated with applied ornaments. On the back is a presentation inscription from George H. Pratt to G. S. Pratt, Cereto, WV, and dated July 11, 1937. 50.5” high, 18” wide, 14” deep. George Hutchinson Pratt (1869-1944) was a railroad worker and made this for his son, Corwin S. Pratt (1901-1965). Condition: Good; original finish, minor losses, there appears to have been a drawer in the central opening but it is now missing, and there was a small top finial that is now missing
