OUTSIDER ART BY REVEREND ALBERT WAGNER (1924-2006) - Cleveland, Ohio, mixed media, signed lower right. Framed, 20” high, 15.5” (overall). Purchased from the artist in the 1990s. Born to sharecroppers in rural Arkansas, Wagner moved with his family to Cleveland and ultimately found himself working in the furniture moving business. He began painting at 50, filling his upstairs with his art and his basement served as the People Love People House of God Ministry. For more information, see www.wagnermuseum.org.
