WOODLAND FROLIC BY EARL HASTINGS BEYMER (OHIO, 1890-1975) - Oil on panel, monogrammed lower right. Woodland landscape with a group of young folks that appear to be dancing. On verso is another, similar though unfinished, view. In its original frame, 17.25” high, 17” wide (overall). Beymer was born in Beymersown (now Old Washington), in Muskingum County. During his life, he created an impressive body of work depicting historical scenes, life in his hometown, and nature, and it includes paintings, carvings, and other mediameter. For his paintings, he typically made the frames as well. This grouping represents the first public offering of Beymer's work. Condition: Good; needs cleaned
