BIRDS BY EARL HASTINGS BEYMER (OHIO, 1890-1975) - Oil on panel. Depiction of various Ohio birds, including cardinal, robin, red-headed woodpecker, hairy woodpecker, and others. In its original carved frame (also by Beymer), 9” high, 11.5” wide (overall). Beymer was born in Beymerstown (now Old Washington), in Muskingum County. During his life, he created an impressive body of work depicting historical scenes, life in his hometown, and nature, and it includes paintings, carvings, and other mediameter. For his paintings, he typically made the frames as well. This grouping represents the first public offering of Beymer's work. Condition: Good; needs cleaned
