FEMALE DOCTOR'S TRADE SIGN - New England, early 20th century. Rectangular sign with original sanded black paint and gold ”ADA E. MORRELL, D.O. OSTEOPATH”. 8” high, 24” wide. Not much about Ada Morrell could be found other than her numerous references as an osteopathic doctor. She appears in The American Osteopath in 1899 as an 1899 graduate, and she is variously listed in the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses as a doctor, physician, and osteopath, living in Manchester, New Hampshire as well as Lowell and Newburyport, Massachusetts.
